What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Exiles (RTÉ Two, 9pm)

RTÉ’s new reality show follows seven young, good-looking Irish people who have emigrated to Vancouver. It stars Stuart Townsend’s brother, Jim Larkin’s great grandson and the Irish girl from Made in Chelsea. Will it be Fade Street 2.0? Only one way to find out. #exiles

Anchorman (RTÉ Two, 10pm)

The eminently quotable comedy is on tonight. Sure, you’ve already seen it a dozen times, but what harm would it do to watch it for the 13th time? Say it after us — I’m in a glass case of emotion, I love lamp, etc.

 Seven Psychopaths (Channel 4, 10pm)

Or if Anchorman is not your cup of tea, flick over to Channel 4 where Martin McDonagh’s comedy caper Seven Psychopaths will be on. Starring our very own Colin Farrell as a struggling screenwriter who inadvertently becomes embroiled in a criminal gang after he steals one of his dogs, it ought to generate a few belly laughs.

Everyone’s talking about… Inside Amy Schumer

Comedy Central / YouTube

This week’s episode featured this scathing sketch about Bill Cosby, who has found himself at the centre of dozens of rape allegations this year.

The sketch featured Schumer defending the veteran comedian in the so-called court of public opinion and it is just on point as you would expect.

Or flick over for…

  • Bloom Live (RTÉ One, 8.30pm) Highlights from the first day of the festival.
  • The Green Prince (Sky Atlantic, 9pm) Documentary about the son of a Hamas leader, who became a spy for Israel. Truth is stranger than fiction.
  • The Irish Open (BBC One, 10.45pm) Highlights from the first day of the golf tournament. George Clooney is rumoured to be going, you know.
  • Louie (Fox, 11pm) Penultimate episode of season 5.
